# Installation

The exact steps for each script are on its own **Installation** page. This guide covers what all Pepper resources have in common.

### 1. Purchase and delivery

1. Get the script in the [Pepper Scripts shop](https://pepper-scripts.tebex.store/) – free scripts go through the same checkout.
2. Sign in with your **Cfx.re account** during checkout. The resource is granted to this account.
3. Payments are processed by **Tebex**; receipts and invoices come from Tebex by email.

### 2. Download

Open the [Cfx.re Portal → Assets → Granted Assets](https://portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets) and download the resource.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Looking for Keymaster?** Since October 2025, purchased assets are no longer managed in Keymaster but in the **Cfx.re Portal**. Updates are downloaded there as well.
{% endhint %}

### 3. Extract and copy

Extract the archive into your server's resources folder, e.g. `resources/[pepper]/pepper_taxi`.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Keep the original folder name (e.g. `pepper_taxi`) unless the script's documentation says otherwise.
{% endhint %}

### 4. Install dependencies

Install the resources listed under **Dependencies** on the script's overview page – typically your framework (ESX Legacy or QBCore) and [oxmysql](https://github.com/overextended/oxmysql). See **Server Requirements**.

### 5. Database

Scripts with a database create their tables **automatically on first start**. You can also import the included SQL file manually (`sql/install.sql` or `install/*.sql`).

### 6. server.cfg

Start the resource **after** its dependencies, for example:

```cfg
ensure oxmysql
ensure es_extended
ensure pepper_taxi
```

### 7. Configure and restart

1. Adjust `config/config.lua` – the language is set with `Config.Locale` (`de` or `en`).
2. Grant admin permissions if the script has an admin panel (see the script's installation page).
3. **Restart the server** completely for the first start.
4. Check the server console and the F8 console for errors.
