# Asset Escrow

Paid Pepper resources are delivered through the official **Cfx.re Asset Escrow**. The core logic is encrypted and only runs on servers whose license key belongs to the buyer's Cfx.re account.

The user interface (`html/`) of FiveM resources is never encrypted.

### Common error messages

| Message                               | Solution                                                                                                                         |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `You lack the required entitlement`   | The server license key (`sv_licenseKey`) must belong to the Cfx.re account used for the purchase. Use the files from the Portal. |
| `Failed to verify protected resource` | Download the resource again from the Portal and don't modify encrypted files.                                                    |

### Rules

* Encrypted files must not be modified.
* Redistribution, re-upload or resale – also of modified versions – is not permitted.
